Contemporary Ensemble Team Associate. St. Bede Church is looking for a Contemporary Ensemble Team Associate. Position requires ability to read music and play guitar and/or drums at a high skill level, good understanding of sound equipment (sound boards, mics, etc.), and ability to work well with all age groups. Duties include playing and coaching/mentoring other musicians on guitar, drums or other instruments. The ensemble rehearses from 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and leads music at the 5 p.m. Sunday Mass preceded by warmup at 4 p.m. Position pays $18 per hour. Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School, Richmond, is seeking a part-time Extended Day Worker for their after-school care program. The worker will care for and guide students, oversee their homework, study and outside play time. The employee will ensure that all school rules and regulations are followed during after school hours. She/he will also monitor student behavior as well as coordinate snack and other daily activities. This worker will work from approximately 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. every day school is in session. Part-Time Music Coordinator, Resurrection Catholic Church, Moneta. Music Coordinator plans and coordinates parish music program, including scheduling and oversight of music at parish liturgies; leads and/or accompanies music for all weekend liturgies; coordinates and directs Saturday choir and Sunday ensemble; and provides musical direction and some training. This is a part-time position, averaging about 8-10 hours per week. Must have a bachelor’s degree in music or equivalent education and experience. Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Richmond, seeks a Business Manager to assist the rector in the administration of pastoral and business functions of the parish. The Business Manager will also support the parish community by ministering as a steward of the parish’s physical, financial and human resources. Payroll Manager: The Catholic Diocese of Richmond is seeking a Payroll/HRMS Manager to provide leadership, planning, project coordination and management for overseeing the Kronos payroll and human resources management system (HRMS) in accordance with diocesan policies and state/federal regulations for approximately 3,000 diocesan priests and employees. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day payroll/HRMS activities to support the HR, payroll, finance and other interrelated functions, while fostering and maintaining positive relationships with staff in the Pastoral Center, parishes and schools. A working knowledge of payroll policies and procedures, federal and state statutes pertaining to FLSA, tax status, and wage reduction programs, and computer operations is required, as well as some experience with analyzing and directing functional related activities within the scope of HRMS. Ability to apply modern accounting principles and procedures, preferably in a non-profit setting; ability to multi-task to handle multiple projects simultaneously; ability to think analytically to identify discrepancies and errors in payroll reports; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and to create effective working relationships with employees and other departments is critical. A bachelor’s degree in related field (accounting, business) with a minimum of four years of payroll/HRIS experience in a high-volume environment is required, preferably with KRONOS experience. Payroll Specialist: The Catholic Diocese of Richmond is seeking a Payroll Specialist to process payroll in Kronos for diocesan locations and to be responsible for monitoring and auditing payroll submissions on a biweekly basis to ensure accurate payroll processing and to ensure compliance with diocesan policy and state/federal regulations. The successful candidate will collaborate with parish and school bookkeepers and business managers and assist in maintaining a wide variety of employee and payroll information submitted through Kronos, e.g. employee personal data, direct deposits, tax status, salary, voluntary and involuntary contributions, etc., for compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines. A working knowledge of payroll policies and procedures, federal and state statutes pertaining to FLSA, tax status, and wage reduction programs, and computer operations is necessary. Ability to apply modern accounting principles and procedures in a non-profit setting; ability to multi-task to handle multiple projects simultaneously; and ability to think analytically to identify discrepancies and errors in payroll reports. An ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and to create effective working relationships with employees and other departments is critical. Minimum of an associate degree in accounting, business or closely related field, plus at least two years of full-time payroll or accounting experience in a high-volume environment (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). Working knowledge of Kronos is desired and FCP or CPP preferred.
