Know the Positions of the Presidential Candidates

The Virginia Catholic Conference represents the Virginia bishops and their two dioceses on issues important to Catholics in matters before the Virginia General Assembly, state agencies, and, with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, before the U.S. Congress and federal agencies.

Because the Catholic Church has long taught that Catholics should be involved, faithful citizens, Bishop Francis DiLorenzo encourages parishioners in his diocese to actively engage in the public square by joining the Virginia Catholic Conference Email Advocacy Network. Through informational and action email alerts the Conference keeps Catholics informed about important issues, as well as offers a quick way to take action. Its action alert emails are easily personalized and can be sent to individual legislators within a few minutes.
