Administrative Assistant

The Office of the Vicar General has an opening for a full-time Administrative Assistant. This new role will provide overall administrative support to the office. Knowledge, abilities, and skills required include a strong working knowledge of computer software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and databases. Additionally, confidentiality, demonstrated diplomacy, excellent follow-up, an ability to work with diverse groups, a strong team player with demonstrated collaboration skills and a courteous and professional manner is necessary. A college degree or equivalent background, plus three or more years of experience is required. Prior experience working in a parish setting is strongly preferred. Campus Minister

The Catholic Diocese of Richmond has an opening for a Campus Minister, supporting Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. The campus minister is responsible for ministry to the Catholic students, faculty, staff and administration. Previous experience in campus ministry and a masters degree in pastoral studies, theology or related field preferred. This is a full-time (minimum of 35 hours per week), exempt position. Night and weekend work is necessary during the academic year. The position also requires travel to campus ministers’ meetings and other diocesan events. The Campus Minister will work regularly with the Director of the Office for Evangelization of Youth & Young Adults, faculty, staff and students as well as other Diocesan Campus Ministers. School Bookkeeper

Saint Joseph School seeks a full-time bookkeeper, who will be responsible for monitoring school finances: including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and tuition assistance. The bookkeeper is also responsible for the school payroll and human resource documents. This position works closely with the school administration, school finance committee, and the Diocese of Richmond Finance Offices. A degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience required. The use of Parish Data Systems experience is helpful. The position requires mastery in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel. Confidentiality is imperative given the positions access to financial records, including personnel and payroll matters.
