Director of Music and LiturgySt. Bede Catholic Church in Williamsburg, Virginia is seeking a full-time Director of Music and Liturgy. Requirements: Master’s Degree in Music or equivalent education and preferably three to five years in a parish setting; excellent organ, keyboard and vocal skills, and a comprehensive knowledge of Catholic music and liturgy. Candidate should be a Catholic in good standing. Experience should include choral directing experience with adult and youth choirs/musician groups. Responsibilities include daily, weekend and seasonal liturgies, holy days, weddings, funerals and other parish celebrations as well as training, directing and scheduling for choirs and cantors. This individual directs two vocal choirs, one hand bell choir, two part-time liturgical musicians responsible for children and teen music, and one liturgical music assistant. Must have the ability to work with a variety of personalities and be able to work collaboratively with our pastoral staff. Should have experience with establishing and maintaining budgets.
