Plan, rehearse and coordinate music for 3 weekend liturgies, holy days, weddings, funerals and other liturgical rites. Responsible for adult choir, teen choir, and children’s choir program, three-octave handbell choir, instrumental ensemble and cantors, as well as being a member of the liturgy committee and a resource person for staff personnel. Enthusiastic style, strong piano and organ skills desired, vocal skills a plus. Full concert-size Baldwin piano, 3 octaves of handbells and 3-manual Ahlborn-Galanti organ. Director of the Office of Asian Ministry

The Diocese of Richmond seeks a full-time Director for the new Office of Asian Ministry. The selected candidate will collaborate with parishes and diocesan offices in the evangelization, formation and training of Asians. The Director will also collaborate with the Office for Black Catholics and the Office of the Hispanic Apostolate in order to assess and meet the needs of the community. READERS

The Diocesan Office of Christian Formation is seeking Candidates to be trained as READERS for the PARISH level of PATHWAYS for the Catechist Formation program. PATHWAYS is a diocesan training program for catechists who hand on the Catholic faith to adults, youth or children. Potential candidates must have some experience with catechesis and complete the 2004 PATHWAYS Self Evaluation guide in preparation for the Reader Training. The role of Reader is vitally important to the personal success of each catechist completing PATHWAYS. If you are interested in this work as Reader, please review the Reader Candidate Information and complete the Reader Information Application located on the PATHWAYS web site. Go to www.richmonddiocese.org/ocf/pathways and select “For Readers” on the left sidebar to access this information. This is a part-time, paid contract job with a 12 month contract period.
