‘Stooge 4 Christ’ to visit youth event in Lynchburg

Bob Perron, a Christian comedian who is known as Stooge 4 Christ from the Diocese of Des Moines, will be the main speaker at the Multi-Parish Youth Day to be held on Saturday, April 20, from 12 noon to 6 p.m. at Holy Cross Regional School in Lynchburg.

Eric Webster, a songwriter and musician with the band Carry Your Cross, will also be featured.

Planners of the event say they can accommodate 200–250 youth, grades 6 through 12, and their chaperones.

Holy Cross will provide lunch beginning at noon. Stooge 4 Christ and Minister of Music Eric Webster will fill the afternoon.

The celebration of Mass will conclude the day.

The cost is $8 per person. Pre-paid tickets will be available February 29.

Checks should be made payable to Holy Cross Church and include the full name, phone number and email of a contact person. Mail should be addressed to the attention of Linda Contreras, 710 Clay St., Lynchburg, VA 24504.

“It is our hope at Holy Cross Church that this gathering will provide another opportunity for Catholic Youth to enjoy each other’s company and to praise God in an extraordinary way,” Mrs. Contreras, Holy Cross director of religious education, said.
