Bishop Francis X. DiLorenzo stands with religious sisters for evening prayer Feb. 12 in the chapel of the Diocese of Richmond Pastoral Center. The service was followed by a dialogue with the bishop and dinner. It was part of the diocese’s observance of the World Day for Consecrated Life established by Pope John Paul II in 1997 as a day to celebrate and pray for vocations to the consecrated life in religious communities. Members of the religious who attended the celebration included members of the Nashville Dominican Sisters, Little Sisters of the Poor, Benedictine monks of Mary Mother of the Church Abbey, Comboni Missionary Sisters, Sisters of Mercy, Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, Daughters of Charity and Ursuline Sisters.
