Italian Festival
The Italian Festival, sponsored by Knights of Columbus Council 9056 and Squires Circle 5188, will be held at St. Gregory the Great School, Virginia Beach, on Saturday, July 19, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the school gym. Live entertainment will be featured. The menu will include antipasto, Italian breads, three meats, pasta with three sauces, salad, dessert and beverage. The cost is $12.50 for adults and $9.50 for children 14 and under. Wine and beer are available for additional cost. For more information, call 757–495–1492.
Vacation Bible School
Rainforest Adventure Vacation Bible School will be offered at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Newport News, the week of Aug. 4–8 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Renewal of vows
In recognition of the 150th Anniversary of the church building, the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Norfolk invites all married couples who were joined in the sacrament of matrimony at our church to participate in the
“Renewal of Vows Celebration” on Saturday, July 12. Mass will be celebrated at 5 p.m., with a reception to follow. Couples are asked to be attired in Sunday Best clothing. RSVP by July 3 by contacting Linda Trotter, 757–436–9637, or Gem V. Bathan, 757–228–3243, or 757–636–8743.
Summer Theologica
This series, sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, is now in its 15th season. Summer Theologica is planned by and for young adults. With the focus of the program being on peer discussion, we kindly ask that only those ages 18–39 attend.
