Bishop Francis X. DiLorenzo stands with Mother Loraine Marie Clare (without glasses), new provincial of the Baltimore Province of the Little Sisters of the Poor, June 19 at the Pastoral Center. With them are Sister Robert, left, assistant to the provincial, and Mother Marcelle, superior of St. Joseph’s Home in Richmond. The Little Sisters of the Poor, founded in France by Blessed Jeanne Jugan, operates 31 homes in the United States and 10 homes in the Baltimore Province, including St. Joseph’s Home. Mother Loraine Marie Clare, who assumed her new position in Baltimore on May 22, most recently served as superior at the Holy Family Residence in St. Paul, Minn., and is originally from Glendale, Calif.
