St. Mary’s in Richlands and St. Theresa’s in Tazewell recognized the ministry of Sisters Martha Meyer and Josepha Haskins as they left Tazewell County at the end of May, ending their 20-year ministries in southwestern Virginia. The Sisters of Mercy do not plan to replace them. On Mother’s Day, May 11, they were honored with a gift of red roses by St. Theresa’s, which celebrated their careers with a supper after Mass May 18.
