Organ recital set May 23 at St. Thomas, Charlottesville

William H. Atwood, Director of Music and coordinator of liturgical ministries at All Saints Catholic Church in Manassas, will perform in an organ recital on Friday, May 23, at 7 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Charlottesville.

He will perform music for Pentecost, The Most Holy Trinity, Corpus Christi, Memorial Day, and the Virgin Mary.

Mr. Atwood will be performing works by Bach, Boëlmann, Brahms, Duruflé, Langlais and others.

Prior to coming to All Saints, Mr. Atwood was Director of Sacred Music for the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Somerville, NJ, and was organist and Festival Choir accompanist for the Catholic Diocese of Metuchen.

He is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Musical Arts Degree program in Sacred Music at the Catholic University of America in Washington.

Admission is free but, contributions are welcomed for The Saint Thomas Aquinas Concert Series Fund. Saint Thomas Aquinas Church is located at 401 Alderman Road in Charlottesville.
