Lexington concert

”One Acoustic Evening” is set for Sunday, May 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the Wilson Concert Hall near St. Patrick’s Church on West Nelson Street in Lexington. The event is co-sponsored by the Catholic Campus Ministry of Washington and Lee University and the Newman Club of Virginia Military Institute. Proceeds will help our twin parish in Fond Pierre, Haiti.

Medjugorje presentation

A presentation entitled “Everything You Wanted to Know About Medjugorje but Were Afraid to Ask” is being offered at St. Mary of the Presentation Church in Suffolk on Saturday, May 17, at 6 p.m. (after the 5:00 pm Mass) in the Parish Hall. Ladies auxiliary

The Knights of Columbus, Council 4632 Ladies Auxiliary, Virginia Beach,will present ‘Strolling Down Memory Lane with Alexia,’ a program featuring music from the 1940’s thru today, on Sunday, May 18, at 2 p.m., at the K of C Hall at 1236 Prosperity Rd. in Virginia Beach. Proceeds from the fund raiser provide funds for scholarships, donations to KOVAR, Sisters of the Poor Clares and other charities that help women and children.

Crafts fair

The Church of Francis de Sales, 176 Lovers Lane, Mathews, will host its first annual Art, Craft, Fun Fair, on Saturday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the church grounds. Featured will be several local crafters and artisans. There will be a parish crafts table, bake sale, games booths, moon bounce, cotton candy, balloons, and a food table. All proceeds will go toward the parish building fund.
