Pentecost Today celebration set in Virginia Beach

The Feast of Pentecost and birthday of the Church will be observed in a celebration which begins with a tri-lingual Mass on Saturday, May 10, at 5 p.m. at St. Luke Church, 2304 Salem Rd., Virginia Beach.

There will be light food provided between the end of Mass and the beginning of another celebration which begins at 7 p.m. and consists of prayer and praise, worship and a Eucharistic procession.

The program is being sponsored by the Tidewater Catholic Charismatic Renewal Service Committee.

“At the first Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came to those gathered; he came to those faithful in waiting,” said Mary Ann West, one of the service committee members. “God’s Life, Love, and Breath entered the individual members and made them into one body — the Body of Christ.”
