Six Daughters of Charity staff Petersburg parish, school

The Daughters of Charity of Emmitsburg, MD, who established St. Joseph’s School in Petersburg in 1876, continue to be a Catholic presence in Petersburg where they are on the staffs of both St. Joseph’s Parish and School.

In addition to Sister Margaret Mary Scally, assistant principal, there are five other members of that community there.

They are:

  • Sister Natalie McCubbin, school librarian and teacher of 2nd grade religion.

  • Sister James Regina Rankin, coordinator of religious education at St. Joseph’s School.

  • Sister Patricia Nee, pastoral associate of St. Joseph’s parish in charge of Justice and Peace.

  • Sister Dorothy Ann Pyle, parish outreach coordinator.

  • Sister Lucille Baker, in charge of parish ministry to the sick and homebound.
