Director of the Office of Christian Formation

The Catholic Diocese of Richmond seeks a full-time Director for the Office of Christian Formation. The director shares in the Bishop’s role as chief catechist of the diocese by providing leadership that fulfills the vision of the bishop for age-appropriate and life-long catechetical formation as expressed in the annual goals of the office. The director supervises the total catechetical effort of the office and gives special attention to adult faith formation. Minimum qualifications include a Master’s Degree in religious education, theology, or related field, and at least five years experience in parish religious education with diocesan level experience preferred. St. Gertrude’s postings

Admissions director

Saint Gertrude High School is seeking an experienced professional to lead the school’s Admission Office. This person would oversee the planning and implementation of recruitment activities as well as manage applications and scholarships. The Director reports to the President and works with the Marketing and Recruitment Committees.

A master’s degree is preferable with the applicant having prior experience working with adolescent girls. Applicant must also have some knowledge of area schools, Catholic, public and private. The candidate should have the ability to execute a complete program of admission and marketing and exhibit excellent management and communication skills.

Head Varsity Basketball Coach

This position is responsible for directing a competitive Division 1 independent basketball program at St. Gertrude High School. Duties include in-season practice and game planning, off-season conditioning and planning and attending summer basketball camps. Coaching experience is required and teaching experience is preferred.

Sign language interpreters

The Office for Persons with Disabilities is seeking qualified sign language interpreters. Recently, there have been many requests for interpreters from different regions in the Diocese. Religious Ed Director

Plans, develops and leads a comprehensive Baptismal prep and religious education program for grades K–8 in a collaborative manner and sets and implements catechetical vision, selects and evaluates curriculum, and serves as the parish resource person. Required: MA Divinity, MA in Theology, Religious Studies or related field, or BA/BS plus graduate level study. Three to five years experience as coordinator or leader and experience working with budgets preferred.

Youth Ministry Director

Directs a comprehensive YM program following Renewing the Vision, including catechesis and Confirmation for grades 9–12 in a collaborative manner. Maintains an environment appropriate to legal and moral responsibility for minors, including Safe Environment Certification. Supports families to promote healthy adolescent development and faith growth. Required: MA in Theology, Religious Studies or related field or BA/BS plus graduate level study. Three to five years experience as coordinator or leader in Youth Ministry and experience working with budgets preferred.

Adult Faith Director

Directs, facilitates and conducts numerous adult faith activities and programs in the parish, including RCIA, Bede Lectures, Scriptural study, retreats, etc. in a collaborative manner. Serves as a direct contact, is a resource for small groups, and facilitates prepared educational programs. Required: MA in Theology, Religious Studies or related field or equivalent education. Three to five years experience in related recruitment, evaluation, and supervision is preferred. Budget experience preferred.

Development/Stewardship Coordinator

Coordinates and implements a comprehensive stewardship program for the parish including the education of stewardship of time, talent, and treasure with an emphasis on fundraising. Coordinates annual fundraising activities and special events. Required: BA/BS in related field or equivalent education and experience. Fundraising certification desired, along with one to three years experience in fundraising with proven success.
