Concert series

Blessed Sacrament Church of Norfolk will present a concert of the Boys’ Choir of Hampton Roads on Sunday, April 13, at 4 p.m. This group was organized in 1997 as a resource for the boys in Park Place to expand their positive image activities. The goals of the group are to accept all children regardless of musical aptitude, to foster healthy attitudes and to teach life skills.

A concert featuring the Strolling Silver Strings will be presented Friday, April 18, at 7 p.m. The Strolling Silver Strings is a joint presentation of the Music Education and Programs for the Gifted of Norfolk Public Schools. The students have a background of traditional concert performance, but as “strollers,” they leave the stage and move into the audience where each player becomes a soloist as well as an entertainment personality.

Both concerts will be followed by a reception in the Social Hall.
