Prison Ministry regional workshops set

Three regional workshops designed to help get people started in prison ministry “inside the walls” and post-release ministry will be held in April and early May.

All three workshops will be sponsored by the diocesan Office of Justice and Peace, Diocesan Prison Ministry Advisory Committee and the Appalachian Office of Justice and Peace.

The first workshop will be for the Western Vicariate on Saturday, April 19, at St. Mary’s parish, Lovingston. The location is halfway between Charlottesville and Lynchburg on Route 29.

The workshop for the Eastern Vicariate will be held on Saturday, April 26, at Holy Spirit parish, Virginia Beach.

The Central Vicariate workshop will be held on Saturday, May 3, at St. Mary’s parish, Richmond.

Each workshop session will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The $10 registration fee includes lunch and materials.
