Haiti Gathering set April 5 in Charlottesville

The diocese’s annual Haiti Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 5, from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Charlottesville.

The day will include a Panel Discussion on “A Spirituality of Global Solidarity” with afternoon breakout sessions based on participants’ particular interests.

There will also be lunch, prayer, crafts sale and music.

Parishes are asked to bring their own Twinning Banner for the Procession of Banners. Those who do not have such a banner are encouraged to create one on an 18 by 36-inch piece of fabric which would be descriptive of their relationship with their twinned parish in Haiti.

The $20 registration fee includes program, lunch and materials.

Checks should be made payable to Catholic Diocese of Richmond and returned to Haiti Gathering, Office of Justice and Peace, 7800 Carousel Lane, Richmond, VA 23294.
