Director for the Office of Campus and Young Adult Ministry

The Catholic Diocese of Richmond seeks a full-time Director for the Office of Campus and Young Adult Ministry. The director is responsible for coordinating the diocesan ministry to and with the young adults on the college and university campuses of the diocese and in the parishes. The director works and coordinates programming with all the campus ministers in the diocese. The director also oversees the Encounter with Christ program, Campus Leadership training, the Young Adult Convention and the administration of the office. Qualifications include a Master’s Degree in ministry or a closely related degree; five or more years professional campus ministry experience; good grasp of pastoral theology; strong administrative, leadership and communication skills; good interpersonal and collaborative skills; and a working knowledge of computer software applications. The candidate must be an active practicing Catholic. Good benefits package and salary commensurate with experience. Closing date is March 14, 2008. Director of the Office of Asian Ministry

The Diocese of Richmond seeks a full-time Director for the new Office of Asian Ministry. The selected candidate will collaborate with parishes and diocesan offices in the evangelization, formation and training of Asians. The Director will also collaborate with the Office for Black Catholics and the Office of the Hispanic Apostolate in order to assess and meet the needs of the community. Director of Youth Ministry

The office of Christian Formation within the Catholic Diocese of Richmond seeks a full-time Director of Youth Ministry. The director brings the community together around a common vision and facilitates training and leadership formation for regional and parish ministry leaders. The director focuses on training for youth ministry, support for adolescent catechesis, providing for diocesan youth gatherings (retreats/convention), and identifying and distributing timely and strategic resources needed by youth ministry leaders. Qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Theology or related field and five or more years’ experience in parish/diocesan youth ministry (preferably some experience at the diocesan level). Plan, rehearse and coordinate music for 3 weekend liturgies, holy days, weddings, funerals and other liturgical rites. Catholic high school seeking President

The Academy of the Holy Cross, a Catholic college preparatory school in Kensington, Maryland, is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic President with strong communication and leadership skills who will be responsible for institutional advancement, spiritual leadership, strategic planning and the organizational, operational and financial structures of the Academy.

Candidates must possess the minimum of a Master’s Degree in Administration or related field and a commitment to Catholic secondary education for women. He/she must be comfortable working with a Board of Trustees and the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross.

A Regional Catholic elementary school (PK-8) with over 300 students is seeking an experienced, faith-filled instructional leader to serve as principal commencing July 1, 2008. The successful candidate will be a practicing Catholic in good standing; will hold a master’s degree in Education/Administration; will possess or qualify for Virginia certification as a school administrator; will have proven record of outstanding student achievement; and active witness to the Catholic identity/philosophy of education.
