Bishop’s liaisons on ecumenism

With the Bishop’s happy appointment of Barbara Hughes as liaison to the Jewish and Muslim communities, I would like to welcome Barbara to membership on the Diocesan Commission for Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs.

Liaison to Charismatic and Pentecostal Communities — Deacon Darrell Wentworth

Liaison to the Episcopalians — Father James Parke

Liaison to the Lutherans — Msgr. Joseph Lehman

Liaison to the Mennonites — Mrs. Patty Huffman

Liaison to the United Methodists — Dr. Richard Linneberger

Liaison to the Presbyterians — Fr. S. Randall Rule

Liaison to the Orthodox — Mr. Philip Gallagher

Liaison to the Virginia Council of Church’s Faith and Order Group — Mrs. Ellen Hewitt and members of the Virginia Council of Church’s Coordinating Cabinet; Msgrs. Joseph Lehman and Raymond Barton.

Through the Bishop’s appointments, his efforts and those of the Diocese become personal, local, and more effective.
