Members of the Columbian Squires of Frank J. Parater Circle 5069, of St. Benedict Church, Richmond, sit on a wall by the 3,000 Flags for the Unborn they placed on the lawn of the church in support of the recent 40 Days for Life campaign. The 3,000 flags, in pink and blue to represent girls and boys, reflect the average number of babies killed by abortion each year in the Richmond area. “One person who watched the boys placing the flags said it’s one thing to read a number, but it’s another to see the sea of flags that each represents a human life,” said K. Ruppert Beirne, Chief Counsellor of the Squires.
