Young adult ministry gathering set March 10

The 2007 Young Adult Ministry Symposium will be held on Saturday, March 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at St. Gertrude High School in Richmond.

photo: Father John CusickFather John Cusick and Kate DeVries, both of the Archdiocese of Chicago and authors of the book “The Basic Guide to Young Adults Ministry,” will speak.

Young adult ministry is geared for those 18 to 35-plus, single or married, who seek to be involved in the church.

Participants will have a chance to learn how to begin a young adult ministry in their parish, how to improve an existing ministry and how to develop and promote the ministry.

Registration is $40 on or before March 1 and $50 after March 1. Registration forms must be filled out and returned with payment to: Office of Campus and Young Adult Ministry, 811 Cathedral Place, Richmond, VA 23220. Checks should be made payable to Catholic Diocese of Richmond.
