Director of Faith Formation Description: Full-time position overseeing our family catechesis program (Total Lifelong Catechesis) and sacramental prep for First Holy Communion and Confirmation candidates. Current director leads our TLC week and catechist training once a month, adult Bible studies, high school and Confirmation retreats in the Fall semester; works with other adult leaders to head up RCIA, Baptism prep, Marriage prep and other ministries.

Qualifications: Masters degree in Theology or Catechetics; Candidate must be soundly steeped in the Tradition of the Church.

Desired skills/qualities: Good inter-relational skills; knowledge of the faith; strongly evangelistic approach to ministry and catechesis; effective delegator; leader and confident communicator; team player; creativity; at least 5 years experience in parish work.

Director of Youth Ministry Description: full-time position overseeing our high school and middle school ministries. Work closely with a team of adult volunteers to plan weekly group meetings, Fall retreats, fundraising, conferences and other activities throughout the year.

Qualifications: B.A. in Theology or Catechetics (concentration in Youth Ministry preferred); candidate must be soundly steeped in the Tradition of the Church. Desired skills/qualities: At least 1–2 years of youth ministry experience or training; relationship-oriented ministry skills; creativity; energetic; knowledge of the faith; strongly evangelistic approach to ministry and catechesis.

Vice President of Advancement Operations

St. Mary’s Ryken High School located in Leonardtown, Maryland is a Catholic coeducational college preparatory high school, operated under the Xaverian Brothers’ sponsorship. St. Mary’s Ryken has an excellent reputation in academics and athletics as well as a lasting commitment to service.

Position: The Vice President of Advancement Operations will report directly to the President of the school. This individual will provide leadership and overall direction to the school’s advancement program, actively building and cultivating long-term volunteer/donor relationships while supporting the President in work with major gift candidates. He/she will be responsible for overseeing a Capital Campaign.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate must be seen as a top-flight advancement professional with proven administrative-management skills, 7–10 years experience, masters degree desired but not necessary and a track record of increasingly responsible positions and accomplishments. He/she must have vision, honesty and be a professional who wins and maintains respect. High energy and excellent writing skills are necessary.
