‘Coming Home’
St. Joan of Arc Church in Yorktown is offering a “Welcome Home” program for Catholics interested in returning to the practice of their faith. There will be six informational sessions held on consecutive Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. beginning Oct. 9. Sessions will be held at the church on Route 17 in York County. There is no cost or obligation. For more iinformation, contact the church office at 757–898–5570.

Caravaggio lecture
Father Mark Lane, Vicar for Clergy, will conduct Part II of his 3 Part Series “Caravaggio: The Man Born to Destroy the Art of Painting” and “Artemisia Gentileschi: Altering the Image of the Female in Art” on Thursday, Oct. 11, at St. Bridget’s Church, Richmond, at 7 p.m. The cost is $15.

’Graced by God’
All involved in catechetical ministry in their parishes or schools are invited to “Graced by God,” a Richmond regional catechetical conference on Saturday, October 13, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 8200 Woodman Rd., Richmond. Keynote speaker will be Jerry Galipeau, popular parish mission presenter and retreat leader. Topic of the day will be “Encountering the Living Christ: In Our Community, Family and Parish.”

Cathedral concert
Flutist Mary Boodell, principal flute of the Richmond Symphony, and violinist Johanna Bourkova will join organist-pianist Patrick Carlin in a free one-hour concert on Monday, Oct. 22, at 11 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. Music will be by J.S. Bach, Quantz, Berlioz and Vivaldi, among others. Following the concert, lunch will be served.

St. Mary’s School
St. Mary’s School at 9501 Gayton Road, Richmond, will have its 3rd Annual St. Mary’s Marketplace on Thursday, October 25, from 6 to 9:00 p.m. Join us for food and drinks and see what some of Richmond’s finest vendors have to offer. Cost is $7 at the door.
