Catholics said ignoring Church laws

We should take stock at what we Catholics think we deserve from God. There are concerns about not enough priests, church closings and consolidations, individual preferences for how the Holy Mass should be prayed/said, fear of the Latin language.

How arrogant. Let’s first be honest about the success of satan in our midst. A partial list of his successes follows:

  • The sexual abuse scandal that resulted from the allowing of practicing homosexuals into our seminaries decades ago.

  • Catholics aborting babies and divorcing at about the same rate as the secular world.

  • The vast majority of Catholics contracepting despite the clear teaching of mother Church and her popes.

  • Many cafeteria Catholics who believe in and obey only what they wish, so long as it confirms their lifestyle.

  • Catholic politicians who publicly support abortion, given the dais at Catholic functions and Catholic places.

  • The high percentage of Catholics who support politicians [and political parties] who promote condoms and contraceptives, laws that force immorality on the public, abortion as a guaranteed ‘right,’ homosexual marriage, & homosexual ‘rights.’

  • The allowing of such perverse ‘entertainment’ as ‘Vagina Monologues’ at ‘Catholic’ colleges.

  • Disrespectful, provocative, and/or distracting attire at Mass.

  • Continued general Catholic apathy at the murder of over 3,000 babies daily.

This is only a partial list. And we expect God to favor us with priests?

We are all sinners, but much of what we do borders on a presumption of automatic forgiveness. How frighteningly daring. God help us.
