VSHL to celebrate 30th anniversary in Newport News
The Virginia Society for Human Life will celebrate its 40th anniversary on Saturday, October 20, from 1 to 4 p.m. with its annual meeting and “A Pro-Life Mosaic” at the the Mosaic, Cornerstone Building, 28 Harpersville Rd., Newport News. Admission is free.
The VSHL was the first state-wide pro-life organization to be established in the United States.
The anniversary program will feature an obstetrician/gynecologist who will speak about the procedure of abortion. Another speaker will be a woman who now regrets her abortion and says she made her decision in youthful fright and naivete and through the encouragement of abortion advocates.
Other topics will include embryonic stem cell research and euthanasia.
