Minister of Adult Formation

Part time position at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. Responsibilities include planning and implementation of formation opportunities for adult and young adult members of the parish. Planning and implementing RCIA, Adult Confirmation/re-Membering Church, coordinate scripture study groups, recruit/train volunteers and some administrative duties. Bachelor’s degree in religious studies or related field or graduate level background in theology/catechesis and some parish experience in adult formation needed. Bookkeeper Administrative Assistant

The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Richmond, seeks a part–time Bookkeeper/Admin. Assistant. The bookkeeper performs the duties that ensure proper maintenance of accounting records, processing of receivables, payables and prepares routine and special accounting reports. The position is 20 hours a week. Requirements: preferably 2–5 years of bookkeeping experience, a working knowledge of basic accounting principles, and strong computer skills (to use Parish Data System software, QuickBooks, Excel, etc.).

Justice & Peace Associate Director

The Catholic Diocese of Richmond seeks a staff member for its Office of Justice & Peace (OJP) to work with parishes on issues of poverty, economic justice, and women in church & society. Responsible for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development as well as implementing new directions from a survey of women in our diocese. Strong emphasis on education in Catholic social teaching and assistance to parishes in their social ministry efforts. Requires a masters degree in social science or theology/ministry, or its equivalent, and significant course work in the other area, and at least five years professional work experience in ministerial or social justice setting. Strong communication and group facilitation skills needed. Religious education experience a plus. Salary commensurate with experience. Good benefit package.

Regional Coordinator for Norms Development and Implementation

The Catholic Diocese of Richmond seeks a part-time Regional Coordinator for Development and Implementation of Called to Be Disciples: Catechetical Norms for the Diocese of Richmond.This two-day (14 hours) per week position will assist the Christian Formation Director in developing the diocesan catechetical Norms plus provide support for new and current catechetical leaders in the Eastern Vicariate of the Diocese (regions 1,2,3,4,12). The selected individual will have a master’s degree in religious education, theology, or pastoral ministry, and have at least three years experience as a catechetical leader. Minister of Christian Formation/Pastoral Associate

St. Ann’s Church is seeking a full time Minister of Christian Formation/Pastoral Associate to begin July 30, 2007. The position is responsible for resourcing adult formation and continuing the development of whole community catechesis, and for supervising the children and youth religious education program (600 families). Candidate should have master’s degree in religious studies/education or equivalent with some parish experience. Salary and benefits according to diocesan guidelines.
