‘Fiddler on the Roof’
St. Edward Music Ministry of St. Edward Church of Richmond will present the musical “Fiddler on the Roof” on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 8, 9 and 10, at 7 p.m. at St. Edward’s Community Center, at the corner of Huguenot and Woodmont Roads. Tickets are $10 and $6. Richard Barnett will be the musical director. Luci Hughes will be choreographer. An additional show will be presented on Thursday, June 14, at Sacred Heart Center, 1401 Perry St., at 7 p.m. Tickets are $8. Tickets for all performances can be obtained by calling 804–864–4718, or by email: rich.barnett@stedwardch.org

Rummage sale
A rummage sale will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 9505 Gayton Rd., Richmond, on Saturday, June 16, from 8 a.m. until 12 noon in the Parish Hall. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Human Concerns Ministry. Donations of gently used items are needed, including toys, housewares, books, clothing, linens, sporting goods, jewelry, furniture and baby items.
Donations will be accepted in the Parish Hall on Thursday, June 14, from noon until 8 p.m. and on Friday, June 15, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Volunteers are also needed to sort and price before the sale and to assist on sale day.

Haiti benefit
A recital to benefit Haiti will be held on Tuesday, June 19, at 7 p.m. at Church of the Redeemer, 8275 Meadowbridge Road, Mechanicsville. The duo consisting of Lisa Burrell (violin) and Linda Blondel (piano) will perform works by Schubert, Dvorak, Franck, and Piazzolla. The recital will also include a harp duet with Cindy Jennings, minister of music at Redeemer. The recital is free and open to the parish and public. Donations will be accepted to benefit teacher education at the school in Haiti that is associated with Association Femmes Actives Lascahobas, a women’s grassroots marketing organization with whom Redeemer is twinned.

World Refugee Day
The diocesan Office of Refugee and Immigration Services – Hampton Roads, in conjunction with Ten Thousand Villages, will sponsor a special shopping event commemorating World Refugee Day on Wednesday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Ten Thousand Villages, City Center at Oyster Point, 11820 Merchants Walk, Suite 102, Newport News. There will be handcrafted fairly traded merchandise from around the world. Lindsey Collins and Angie Gainey, members of the Raleigh, N.C., band Fey will perform throughout the day.
World Refugee Day is an annual commemoration and recognition of the contributions of refugees throughout the world.

Yard sale
St. Edward the Confessor Church, 2700 Dolfield Drive (off of Huguenot Road), Richmond, will hold its annual Great Big Yard Sale on Saturday, June 23, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine! There will be old and new bargains, baked goodies, food, raffles, and fun! To purchase a table at $30, contact Bobbi at 804–864–4709.

Charismatic Mass
A Charismatic Mass with Father Daniel Brady presiding will be celebrated on Monday, June 25, at 7 p.m. at St. Michael Church, 4491 Springfield Rd., Glen Allen.
