Accountant Position

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church is seeking an experienced accountant. This is a part time position requiring twenty-five hours per week. The person will be responsible for maintaining the parish financial records and working with the pastor or his delegate in managing the finances of the parish. Good computer and communication skills are essential. Prior experience in a parish setting would be helpful. Compensation will be based on experience and according to diocesan guidelines. Maintenance Position — Part Time

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church is seeking a part-time maintenance person to work with our existing staff. This three day per week opportunity requires prior work experience in a similar position. The person must have a basic knowledge of maintenance of machinery, electricity, and plumbing and be proactive in performing preventive maintenance, as well as look for opportunities to improve our existing procedures. Coordinator of  Christian Formation

The Church of the Incarnation seeks applicants for the full-time position of Coordinator of Christian Formation. Located in Charlottesville Virginia, within the Catholic Diocese of Richmond, Incarnation (www.incarnationparish.org) is a vibrant community of 1000 households with a contemporary style of worship and strong parishioner participation in ministry and faith formation. Responsibilities include overseeing the catechetical program for pre-K through 10th grade, recruiting, training, and supervising catechists, preparing children for 1st Reconciliation and 1st Communion, adult education, and overseeing a safe nursery/childcare environment in accord with diocesan regulations. The selected candidate will work closely with the pastor, youth ministers, minister of worship, and other parish staff for parish-wide education programs. Applicants should have a B.A. in religious education, theology, or related field, or equivalency in class work, and 3+ years experience as a catechist or teacher. Applicants should be familiar with Whole Community Catechesis and be willing to explore its implementation. The ideal candidate will have Spanish fluency to interact with our growing Hispanic Ministry. Position begins July 2, 2007; requires weekend and some evening hours. Director of Institutional Advancement

Peninsula Catholic High School seeks a dynamic, talented, results-oriented individual to serve as Director of Institutional Advancement to implement a comprehensive advancement program in support of the overall mission and goals of the school. Principal — Richmond

St. Benedict Catholic School, a warm and welcoming K–8 parish school in Richmond, Virginia, is seeking a faith-filled, effective, experienced instructional leader to serve as principal commencing July 1, 2007.

The successful candidate will be a practicing Catholic in full accord with the teachings of the Catholic Church; will hold a master’s degree in educational leadership or related field; will possess or qualify for Virginia certification as a school administrator; and will employ data-driven decision making and research-based best practices to fulfill the parish’s vision of academic excellence in the classic Catholic intellectual tradition.

Applicants must have a minimum of five years teaching experience and experience in administration at the elementary and/or middle school level.

The principal reports to the pastor through the diocesan superintendent and is responsible for curriculum and instruction, professional development, student life and extracurricular programs.
