All men are invited to the Office for Black Catholics Men’s Day of Reflection, Saturday, August 26, 8:00-4:30, at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Norfolk.

Guest speakers Deacon Calvin Bailey, Deacon Charles Williams, Deacon Frank Nelson and Mario Dance will explore this year’s theme, “Real Men-Practice What They Preach.” The theme is a reminder that all the baptized are called to be disciples of Christ, to be missionary disciples. Faith-filled men play an important role in the life of the Church and with prayer and action continue to be evangelizers for all aspects of ministry; vocations, family life, formation and other areas of parish and community life.

The cost of the daylong event is $30 general admission, $20, 55+ adults. Lunch and materials are included. For those wishing to stay overnight, a block of rooms is available at the Marriott Norfolk Waterside, $60/person-double occupancy, one night. Reserve your room at the time of registration (limited availability). Please do not contact the hotel directly. Register online at www.regonline.com/obcmensdor2017 or call the office. The deadline to register is Friday, August 11, 2017. This non-refundable fee is made possible by the Diocesan Appeal.
